A creative problem solver with solid commercial track record of over 11 years and a knack for simplifying the complex. I’m genuinely curious about building great businesses and analysing business models is a past time I enjoy. I once sat in a popular café and counted the number of coffees they sold every hour to extrapolate a P&L to conceptualize and launch the multi-sensory Singapore Coffee Festival in 2016. This creative project was an amalgamation of my experiences ranging from pitching press stories when I was doing freelance PR for F&B brands and tapping into my freelance graphic design, photography and videography experiences. I then spent the subsequent years in SPH’s integrated media solutions department to learn more about advertising on print, digital, radio and OOH before pursuing a captain planet narrative with Carousell when they launched their advertising and partnerships division. I returned to my first love; creative & media, when TikTok came calling.

Mae Ong is a Group Creative Director who left Manila in 2012, where her career focus shifted to digital. Now she carries with her over ten years of experience ranging from traditional advertising to social and content. She's led creative work for multiple global brands including Disney, Nike, Netflix, Samsung and Nestlé.Mae has so far invented a new storytelling format on Instagram, created an investigative mockumentary TV series on Facebook, and garnered millions of views on YouTube and TikTok – all while picking up a few shiny recognitions.Life skills include filming Tiktok videos for her husband and lip-syncing the entire Beauty and the Beast movie.

In my time as a strategist, I have been lucky to work alongside bright minds on campaigns that clinched awards such as Mumbrella Asia's Media Brand Of The Year and SiLVER in Markies, and even a video series that made it to Netflix screens. I am always excited to come across campaigns that are able to spark new perspectives, and am looking forward to continue pushing new boundaries in strategy work.
