Calling herself an accidental creative, Astri recalls dreaming of becoming a doctor since she was a child, but her failure at the med school admission test put an end to that. She then jumped into design and advertising because she thought all you needed to do was draw. Pleasantly surprised to find that design and advertising encompass so much more, she has never looked back since.
With Kinetic Singapore since 2013, Astri has risen to assume the mantle of Creative Director and recently Partner. Her time in the industry has seen her take on projects ranging from design and advertising, social and branding, to spatial and experiential. Her work has received recognition at international creative shows like the D&AD Awards, Cannes Lions Awards, The One Show, Young Guns, and Tokyo Type Directors Club. In addition to snagging Best Young Designer and Best Young Art Director at The Gong Show, Astri is also a recipient of the President’s Design Award (Design of the Year 2020 and 2025), Singapore’s highest design accolade.

Gayle writes for a living, and occasionally for applause. She’s helped banks feel human, brands feel clever and campaigns feel like they weren’t written by a committee (or ChatGPT). She believes good work should still make you feel something — even after the third round of revisions.
